Peptide Testing Cost (2026)

Published per-sample pricing for every method we run, plus bundle pricing and volume breaks. No setup fees, no account minimums, no rush surcharge — turnaround is 9 to 11 business days for everyone.

How much does peptide testing cost?

At an accredited third-party lab in the US, peptide testing costs roughly $150 to $300 per sample for HPLC purity, $200 to $400 for LC-MS identity confirmation, and $800 to $2,000 for a full panel that adds endotoxin, heavy metals, residual solvents, and moisture. Stability studies and custom method validation are quoted per protocol and start around $1,500 and $3,500 respectively.

Cost per sample by method

Peptide testing cost per sample by analytical method
TestMethodCost per sample
Peptide purity testing

Quantitative purity percentage with chromatogram and related-substance profile.

RP-HPLC, USP <621>$150 – $300
Identity confirmation

Monoisotopic mass and sequence confirmation. Most COAs pair this with HPLC purity.

LC-MS/MS Orbitrap$200 – $400
Endotoxin testing

Required for anything headed into sterile compounding or injectable research use.

Kinetic chromogenic LAL, USP <85>$175 – $350
Heavy metals screen

Elemental impurity panel covering lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury.

ICP-MS, USP <233>$200 – $450
Residual solvents

Detects synthesis and purification solvents left behind in the lyophilized cake.

GC-HS, USP <467>$200 – $400
Karl Fischer moisture

Water content drives potency math and shelf-life. Cheap insurance on lyophilized lots.

Coulometric / volumetric KF$125 – $250
Stability study

Priced per protocol: timepoints, storage conditions, and number of attributes tested.

ICH Q1A(R2) accelerated / long-term$1,500 – $6,000
Third-party COA verification

Independent re-test of a supplier COA, with a side-by-side discrepancy summary.

HPLC + LC-MS against supplied COA$300 – $600
Custom method development

Scoped per project. Includes validation report and regulatory documentation.

ICH Q2(R1) validation$3,500 – $15,000

Ranges reflect sample count, sequence complexity, and whether a validated method already exists for the compound. Every quote we send back is a fixed price.

Bundle pricing

Purity + Identity

$350 – $650

The default panel. HPLC purity plus LC-MS identity is what most researchers and resellers mean when they say 'third-party tested'.

Compounding release panel

$800 – $1,600

Purity, identity, endotoxin, and moisture. Built around what 503A and 503B facilities need for incoming raw material and finished-product release.

Full contaminant screen

$1,000 – $2,000

Everything in the release panel plus ICP-MS heavy metals and GC-HS residual solvents. The complete 'is this safe' answer.

Ready to test your peptides?

Send your peptide name, sample count, and the tests you need. We return a fixed-price quote, usually within one business day.

  • validated analytical methods, independent of any supplier
  • 9-11 business day standard turnaround
  • Traceable COA with chromatograms and method parameters

What moves the price

Sample count

Instrument setup and method equilibration are fixed costs spread across the run. Five samples of the same peptide cost far less per sample than five singletons of five different peptides.

Method availability

We hold validated methods for the commonly tested research peptides. A novel or heavily modified sequence needs method development first, which is quoted separately under custom analytical method development.

Reporting depth

A standard signed COA is included. Regulatory-grade documentation packages, raw data compilations, and audit-ready validation summaries add analyst time.

Turnaround

Nothing. Turnaround is 9 to 11 business days at one price for every customer. We do not sell a queue position.
