These are the questions researchers and compounding pharmacies type into search before they choose a lab. Each one gets a direct answer in a few sentences, then a link to the page that shows the method, the pricing, or the data behind it.
What people ask before they know what testing should cost.
How much does peptide testing cost?
HPLC purity testing starts at $150 per sample with no minimum order. Mass spectrometry identity, endotoxin, heavy metals, moisture, and stability testing are priced per test and can be bundled on one sample.
Standard turnaround is 9-11 business days from the day your sample arrives at our Sun City Center, Florida lab. You receive a signed PDF certificate of analysis by email as soon as the data is reviewed.
Is there a cheaper way to check a peptide than lab testing?
No analytical shortcut gives you a purity percentage. Visual checks, solubility, and reconstitution behavior can flag an obviously bad vial, but only chromatography quantifies purity and only mass spectrometry confirms identity.
What the percentages on a certificate of analysis actually mean.
What does 99% peptide purity mean?
It means 99% of the material detected by HPLC at the assay wavelength is the target peptide and roughly 1% is related impurities such as truncated or oxidized sequences. It says nothing about water, salt, or counterion content, which are measured separately.
For many in-vitro applications 95% is workable, but the 5% matters: impurity identity, not just quantity, decides whether results are trustworthy. Ask for the chromatogram and the impurity table, not only the headline number.
Why is my purity result lower than the supplier's COA?
The most common causes are a different assay wavelength, different gradient conditions, a manufacturer COA copied from an older batch, or degradation during shipping and storage. Comparing methods on both documents usually explains the gap.
How to tell a real third-party result from a marketing document.
How do I verify a peptide COA is real?
Check that the report names the testing laboratory, the method and instrument, the analysis date, the batch or lot, and a signature or reviewer. A COA without a method section cannot be verified by anyone.
It means the lab that ran the analysis has no financial stake in the product being sold. A supplier testing its own material in-house is self-attestation, not third-party verification.
Is peptide lab testing legit, or is it a paperwork exercise?
A legitimate report ties raw instrument data to a stated, validated method such as USP <621> and ICH guidance. Ask any lab for a sample COA and the method conditions before you ship samples.
Practical questions about shipping, and the vocabulary on your report.
Where can I get peptides tested near me?
You do not need a lab in your city. Researchers and pharmacies in all 50 states overnight samples to our Florida facility at the same price, and results come back by email.
Two to five milligrams of lyophilized peptide covers HPLC purity plus LC-MS identity with material left for replicate injections. Reconstituted vials can also be tested; tell us the concentration.
They are the standard analytical methods behind peptide reports: reversed-phase chromatography for purity, LAL for bacterial endotoxin, and ICP-MS for heavy metals. Each term is defined in plain English in our glossary.
